Tea House Vancouver BC — Quality Tea, Chai & Matcha on Davie Street

A real tea house in Vancouver's West End. Tea steeped with care, chai lattes made right, and matcha whisked fresh. Open daily 8am–7pm on Davie Street.

🍃N3's Tea Philosophy: Quality First

Walk into most Vancouver cafes and you'll find teabags in a bin. At N3, we focus on quality. Every cup of tea is properly steeped, properly timed, and properly served. It's a small difference that makes a big one.

We've built our tea menu around what actually tastes good: chai lattes with real spices, matcha whisked fresh instead of powder mix, London fog layered carefully, and rotating seasonal brews. If you've had bad tea before, it wasn't the tea. It was the technique.

Located steps from Providence Health Care and St. Paul's Hospital in the heart of Davie Village, N3 serves the afternoon rush—healthcare workers, students, and neighbourhood regulars who know the difference between dipped and steeped.

15% staff discount for Providence Health Care, PHC Clinics, and St. Paul's Hospital staff. Order anytime, 7 days a week.

What Makes N3's Tea Different

Tea quality commitment. We prioritize quality and care in every brew. Each cup is steeped with whole leaves, giving you more flavour, more control, and a better cup.

Real matcha, not powder mix. Our matcha is whisked fresh from ceremonial-grade powder. No pre-mixed syrup, no shortcuts. You taste the difference immediately.

Proper steep times. Tea isn't coffee—it doesn't want the same temperature or time. We dial in each leaf type. Black tea at 200°F, green at 160°F, oolong at 195°F. Small details, big taste.

Quality over shortcuts. A real tea house means attention to detail. You're paying for quality leaves and proper technique. Density matters. Flavour matters. We get both right.

If you've ever had weak, bitter, or over-steeped tea from a chain, that wasn't tea—that was a mistake. Come to N3 and taste the difference five minutes of attention makes.

The Afternoon Tea Crowd

Tea at N3 isn't just a drink. It's a ritual. The 2–4pm window is our sweet spot: shift changes at Providence Health Care (1 min walk), afternoon wind-down for healthcare workers, and patio tea sessions on Davie Street.

You'll see nurses between shifts, clinicians grabbing a London fog before heading back to the PHC clinics on Davie, and regulars who know to arrive at 2:45pm for a calm moment before the evening rush. The patio fills up in warm weather—a rare quiet corner in the West End.

Our 15% healthcare worker discount applies all day, every day. It's our way of saying thank you to the people who keep the neighbourhood running.

No laptops, no forced productivity. Tea is meant to be sipped, not rushed. Bring a friend, grab a pastry from our fresh bakery, and settle in for 20 minutes of actually good tea.

Tea Questions

How do you brew tea at N3?

We focus on quality and proper technique. We use whole or large-broken leaves with more surface area for better flavour extraction. Each tea type gets the right temperature and steep time—we dial in each leaf type. Black tea at 200°F, green at 160°F, oolong at 195°F. You taste the difference in every sip.

Is matcha latte at N3 sweetened?

Our matcha latte is made with ceremonial-grade matcha whisked fresh and mixed with steamed milk. We don't add sweetener by default—matcha has its own subtle flavour. You can add honey, syrup, or milk adjustments when you order. Ask your barista to customize it to your taste.

What's a London fog and why is it popular in Vancouver?

A London fog is Earl Grey tea (black tea infused with bergamot orange) mixed with a touch of vanilla and steamed milk. It's a Vancouver staple with East Coast roots. Smooth, aromatic, and less heavy than a latte. At N3, we pour it with careful attention to the Earl Grey-to-milk ratio—it's a balancing act.

Can I get quality tea to go?

Yes. We pour any tea into a cup for takeaway. If you want to steep at home later, ask about our tea retail bags—perfect for building your own tea shelf.

What tea pairs well with your bakery items?

Great question. Chai latte pairs with our muffins and scones (warming spice + sweetness). Loose-leaf green tea pairs with croissants (light, clean). London fog goes with anything—it's the most versatile. Check out our bakery page for more pairings.
